SUMMARY:Heart Garden: A Parent Circle for Understanding Children from the Inside Out
DESCRIPTION:Heart Garden is a monthly parent circle for caregivers who feel stuck\, worried\, or worn down by power struggles\, school resistance\, big emotions\, or the quiet fear that something isn’t working — even though they’re trying so hard. \n\n\n\nHeart Garden offers a gentle\, guided space for parents to step back and learn how to make sense of children developmentally — through the lenses of attachment\, emotional growth\, and maturity — and how this understanding can support both parenting and homeschooling. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n How Our Time Together Will Flow (9:00–11:00)\n\n\n\n9:00–9:20 | Arrival & Settling InFamilies arrive\, grab a coffee\, say hello\, and get settled. Children have time to acclimate and begin playing in the jungle space. \n\n\n\n9:20–10:15 | Parent Circle (Child Supervision Provided)Parents gather in the playroom for a guided Parent Circle while children continue playing nearby in the jungle under supervision\, allowing adults the space to focus and engage fully. \n\n\n\nEach session begins with a story about a child — similar to a case study — that parents can relate to. Together\, we’ll explore what might be going on for that child and what a parent might try to help the situation. \n\n\n\nFrom there\, Miss B will expand the discussion with developmentalist insights into childhood development\, paired with homeschooling perspectives that support learning\, connection\, and emotional health. Time for open conversation and questions will follow\, and the Parent Circle will gently wrap up. \n\n\n\n10:15–11:00 | Reconnect & Community TimeParents rejoin their children in the jungle. Families are welcome to stay\, play\, chat\, connect\, and continue conversations in a relaxed\, informal way. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n Who This Space Is For\n\n\n\nHeart Garden is especially supportive for: \n\n\n\n\nParents navigating homeschool stress or school refusal\n\n\n\nCaregivers dealing with defiance\, aggression\, anxiety\, or emotional shutdown\n\n\n\nParents who feel discouraged\, overwhelmed\, or unsure how to help\n\n\n\nFamilies longing for a calmer\, more connected way forward\n\n\n\n\n You don’t need more pressure or perfection. You need a clearer way of seeing your child. \n\n\n\nHeart Garden is a place to tend the roots — so growth can happen naturally. \n\n\n\n About the Hosts \n\n\n\nCarrie Bourgo and Ryan Bourgo are the parents and educators behind Heart Garden\, a parent circle created to support families in understanding children from the inside out. \n\n\n\nCarrie is the Co-Founder and Lead Teacher of MindGarden Learning and holds a degree in Elementary Education. She has taught with a variety of homeschool co-ops and enrichment programs over the years and brings both professional experience and lived parenting wisdom into her work. Carrie is a mother of three children—ages 16\, 14\, and almost 7—and follows a developmentalist\, attachment-based approach to parenting\, alongside a non-faith-based interpretation of Charlotte Mason’s educational philosophy. \n\n\n\nHer education in childhood development and attachment comes through the Neufeld Institute\, where she has completed extensive coursework exploring attachment\, maturation\, emotional development\, anxiety\, aggression\, attention\, and adolescence. Carrie’s work centers on helping parents make sense of children’s behavior developmentally\, so growth and learning can unfold naturally within relationship. \n\n\n\nRyan holds a PhD in Genetics and brings extensive experience as a public speaker and people leader. As a father of three\, he offers a thoughtful and grounded male perspective on parenting—one that emphasizes presence\, responsibility\, and emotional engagement. Ryan is especially passionate about modeling what it looks like for fathers to be attentive\, caring\, and actively involved\, in a culture that too often places the weight of parenting insight and accountability solely on mothers. \n\n\n\nTogether\, Carrie and Ryan host Heart Garden as a shared offering. Their work reflects a belief that parents are not meant to carry confusion or fear alone\, and that meaningful change comes not from pressure or perfection\, but from understanding\, relationship\, and shared responsibility.

SUMMARY:🌿Creative Movement — 5-Week Pilot Series
DESCRIPTION:A playful\, pressure-free movement class for ages 10 and under \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNeed weekly recurring payments?\n\n\n\n\n\nFirst child\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAdditional children\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhy This Class?\n\n\n\nThis Creative Movement class is designed for young children to move\, imagine\, and explore without pressure. \n\n\n\nRather than focusing on technique\, performance\, or “doing it right\,” we create space for children to follow their bodies’ natural rhythms\, move through play and imagination\, and build confidence without comparison or evaluation. \n\n\n\nGrounded in a developmental\, attachment-informed understanding of childhood\, this class supports nervous system regulation\, embodied confidence\, and a positive relationship with movement. Parents remain onsite so children can relax into the experience\, knowing their safe people are nearby. \n\n\n\nThis is not a class to train dancers — it’s a place to grow comfort in one’s body and joy in movement. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nA Supportive Space for Different Temperaments & Nervous Systems\n\n\n\nThis class is thoughtfully designed to support children with a wide range of temperaments and nervous system needs — from those who are reserved\, sensitive\, or slow to warm\, to those with big energy or strong movement needs. \n\n\n\nFrom a developmental and attachment-informed perspective\, hesitation\, observation\, high activity\, or difficulty following directions are not problems to fix — they are meaningful signals about a child’s nervous system and readiness. \n\n\n\nParents are warmly welcomed to stay close and participate alongside their child as needed. Children are never required to join in right away; watching\, hovering\, easing in slowly\, or moving boldly are all respected forms of participation. Many children engage more fully once their bodies feel safe and ready — and that timing is honored here. \n\n\n\nWith parents present and gentle adult guidance\, children are supported with warmth\, structure\, and realistic expectations\, allowing movement to be expressed safely and respectfully — without pressure\, correction\, or comparison. \n\n\n\nProgram Purpose\n\n\n\nCreative Movement offers a gentle\, welcoming environment where children experience movement as play rather than performance. Through guided exploration and open-ended movement\, children are invited to listen to their bodies\, express themselves freely\, and move in ways that feel authentic. \n\n\n\nAs children move\, stretch\, and explore freely\, they naturally work their bodies in ways that feel both energizing and settling. Physical effort emerges organically through play\, without pressure or performance. \n\n\n\nThe goal is not mastery or memorization\, but ease\, curiosity\, confidence\, and a growing comfort in one’s body. \n\n\n\nClass Structure & Weekly Flow\n\n\n\n\nOne class per week\n\n\n\nTotal time reserved: 2:30–3:30 PM\n\n\n\nParents remain onsite\n\n\n\nComfortable\, play-ready clothing encouraged\n\n\n\n\nWeekly Flow\n\n\n\n\n2:30 PM — Arrival & settling\n\n\n\n2:45–3:15 PM — Guided creative movement class\n\n\n\n3:15–3:30 PM — Chatting\, gathering belongings\, and transition out\n\n\n\n\nChildren of mixed ages (10 and under) participate together in a relaxed\, inclusive environment. \n\n\n\nAbout Miss Claire\n\n\n\nMiss Claire is a Chattanooga-based dancer and movement educator with experience working with children in creative\, developmentally appropriate ways. \n\n\n\nHer background emphasizes playful movement\, body awareness\, and exploration\, rather than performance or technique-driven instruction. She brings a calm\, welcoming presence to the space and is thoughtful about meeting children where they are — supporting a wide range of temperaments\, energy levels\, and participation styles. \n\n\n\nMiss Claire’s classes are intentionally pressure-free and inclusive\, allowing children to engage with movement in ways that feel safe\, joyful\, and authentic. \n\n\n\nClass Dates\n\n\n\n\nFebruary 10\n\n\n\nFebruary 24\n\n\n\nMarch 3\n\n\n\nMarch 10\n\n\n\nMarch 24\n\n\n\n\nEnrollment & Pricing\n\n\n\nProgram Tuition (5 weeks)\n\n\n\n\n$55 per child\n\n\n\n\nSibling & Family Pricing\n\n\n\n\nSecond child: $40\n\n\n\nThird child: $40\n\n\n\nFamily maximum: $175 total\n\n\n\n\nThis pricing is intended to keep the program accessible while supporting instruction and space costs during this pilot session. \n\n\n\nNotes & Expectations\n\n\n\n\nThis is a gentle\, exploratory class\, not a drop-off or performance-based program\n\n\n\nEnrollment may begin small; the class will run as long as minimum viability is met\n\n\n\nWe are prioritizing sustainability\, warmth\, and relationship over scale\n\n\n\nAdjustments may be made in future sessions based on interest and feedback

SUMMARY:Homeschool 100 February 2026
DESCRIPTION:Woodlands Educational Initiative\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe mission of the non-profit is to engage the local community through indigenous cultural preservation and education. One way that we seek to carry out our mission is through our community garden. Through the garden we are able to preserve and pass along traditional indigenous knowledge (TIK) and demonstrate a reciprocal relationship with creation. Our garden serves a three-fold purpose: \n\n\n\n\n\n\nPreservation of indigenous heirloom seeds\n\n\n\nDemonstration of reciprocal relationships with nature through the cultivation of a three-sister’s garden (corn\, beans and squash)\n\n\n\nMaking fresh\, organic produce available to under-resourced populations. \n\n\n\n\nWe invite the community to join us in our efforts to preserve seed\, change from a consumer oriented relationship with nature to a reciprocal one\, and create healthy living through food equity!

SUMMARY:Homeschool 100 November
DESCRIPTION:Facebook: Maddy Cakes TNInstagram: Maddy Cakes TNCustomer sugar cookies and helping kid and families celebrate special occasions has always been a passion of mine. I believe every child should be able to celebrate with a cookie on their birthday. To accommodate as many children as I can\, the last few years I have dedicated my free time to perfecting and altering my sugar cookie recipe for different dietary needs. Maddy Cakes is proud to offer regular sugar cookies along with dye free\, dairy free or sugar free options. I am currently working on egg free and gluten free. \n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n No Caption \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n No Caption \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n No Caption \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n No Caption \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n No Caption
